Money Manager Compensation Example

Example 1:

Money Manager A has referred Clients A, B, C, D, & E for Managed accounts totaling $500,000 all with Trading Platform C.

Money Manager A trades Three to Four times per day with five standard lots each trade, five days per week for an entire month, totaling 394round turns (R/T) for the month.

Money Manager A, through Trading Intl’s network is compensated 0.8 pip per round turn on accounts with Trading Platform C. Commission on these managed accounts would be calculated as follows:

475 R/T X $8 (0.8 pip) = $3,152 paid to Money Manager A for this month on these five accounts, in addition to Money Manager A’s management fees, incentive fees or additional R/T fees as outlined in their trading agreement with these clients .

This is a great way to offset any reduction in fees to attract a greater number of clientele.

Example 2:

Client A has had Money Manager B manage their account for the past 9 months. Client A now feels that they are able to trade this account on their own and has terminated the management agreement with Money Manager B. However, Money Manager B has assisted to assist Client A get their account setup with the right platform for them – Trading Platform C.

Client A initially trades once per day, six days per week for an entire month, totaling 27 round turns (R/T) for the first month.

Money Manager A, through Trading Intl’s network is compensated 0.8 pip per round turn on accounts with Trading Platform C. Commission would be calculated as follows:

27 R/T X $8 (0.8 pip) = $216 paid to Money Manager B for this month on an account that when once gone he/she would have not made any additional money on.

What if Money Manager B unfortunately had 5 accounts per year that left his/her managed account program? Money Manager B could potentially continue to make $1,080 per month residual income on the accounts that are no longer using his services for as long as the accounts remain active. (Commissions will vary dependent upon each accounts trading levels for each month.)
